BMW announced the all-new 2019 G50 BMW X5 back in June and will be officially unveiled this October, which means that the model will still be keeping the headlines of every major auto magazine for a while. Now, we present to you, our faithful readers, with a gorgeous media gallery of BMW`s most spectacular X5 ever built.

Arriving at the 2018 Paris Motor Show next month, the 2019 G50 BMW X5 has been branded the finest X5 model in terms of looks and technology. We should also add the new power and performance which makes it quite a player in the segment.

Speaking of performance, for the moment, the all-new 2019 G50 BMW X5 is available in only two petrol burners and a diesel variant; the xDrive40i and the xDrive30d, both with enhanced performance. The first variant is equipped with a B58 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine, developing 340 horsepower, while the latter takes its 462 horsepower from a 4.4-liter V8 turbo. On the diesel side, the xDrive30d is packed with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder, with a good 262 horsepower.

BMW has also recently announced the plug-in hybrid variant in the shape of the X5 xDrive45e iPerformance which uses a 3.0-liter Twin-Power Turbo six-cylinder petrol engine, paired to an electric motor. The conventional engine outputs 286 horsepower while the electric adds another 110 horsepower. With a total of 388 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, the new X5 xDrive45e iPerformance is now more powerful and more fuel efficient.

Later on, other high-performance range of engines borrowed from the 5-Series will be added as well, meaning 2.0-liter four-, 3.0-liter six- and 4.4-liter eight-cylinder turbocharged petrol burners. The diesel range will also receive 2.0-liter four- and 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo pots. On top of all stands the almighty X5M which uses the same monster engine seen on the M5 – the 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbocharged pot with a staggering 592 horsepower and xDrive all-wheel Drive.

From a visual standpoint, the 2019 BMW G50 X5 impresses with an extremely muscular design language, now coming with sculpted contours, increased wheelbase and plenty of new styling characteristics.

Speaking of wheelbase, the new SUV is more imposing, gaining an extra 1ʺ in height, as well as 1.1ʺ in length, that meaning increased space inside as well for passengers and their luggage.

The new G50 stands on the carmaker`s newest CLAR platform, also underpinning the new 7-Series, and comes with new enhancements like new suspension with double wishbone front axle and five-line rear axle.

Inside, the cabin impresses the audience with the latest high-tech gadgetries. You should be pretty amazed by the new digitalized instrument cluster which is flanked by a massive central touchscreen which controls the car`s functions, along with a new switchgear and buttons on the lower center console. All in contrast with the finest materials on the dashboard or seats.

After the arrival of the bigger and much more stylish X4 M40d sibling, the German based carmaker has also announced the introduction of the same variant from the X3, with sales to commence this July. Prices haven’t been yet released but we expect fresh news in the upcoming period.

Compared to last year`s model, the new 2019 BMW X3 M40d is much bigger, wider and enhanced with even more technological gizmos inside the cabin. However, the big news is that this year`s model is enhanced with more power.

Dealing with the G01 BMW X3 M40d, the gorgeous model comes with a B57 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, developing a good 326 horsepower and impressive 680 Nm of torque, available at as low as 1,750 rpm. On the other hand, its brother in arms the X3 M40i comes with 370 horsepower and only 500 Nm of torque, the latter one being tenth second faster.

This means that the 2019 BMW X3 M40d performs a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically-limited to 250 km/h, just like most of the carmaker`s new model lineup. The power is sent to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission, the same which gears up its M40i sibling, too.

Even if it packs a 3.0-liter displacement with such important performance figures, power and torque, the new X4 M40d seems to be highly-efficient in terms of fuel consumption. It thus manages a combined consumption of just 6.5L/100 km, while the CO2 emissions combined don’t exceed 169 g/km.

As for exterior visuals, the new BMW X4 M40d is easily standing out from the crowd with the M Sport package, which enhances its aggressive looks. The most important highlights are the Cerium Gray exterior accents, as well as the 20-inch alloy wheels now coming with M Sport brakes. The model is standardly equipped as well with M Sport suspension system and variable sports steering system.

BMW is revitalizing part of its model lineup by introducing new updates and engines starting this July. The changes involve the 1-Series model as well as some variants from the 5- and the 7-Series, along with the newly-launched i8 Roadster. Also, SUVs from the X range will receive new engine updates.

Starting with the BMW 1-Series, the carmaker has set up a special car titled the “Metropolitan Edition”, which adds up new features “specifically designed to enhance comfort and driving pleasure in urban traffic.”

These new highlights refer to “instrument cluster with extended features”, GPS navigation, rear-view camera, Comfort Access pack, Park Distance and Speed Limited Info.

Next is the 5-Series in both Sedan and Touring disguises, set to arrive with the fabulous Frozen Dark Silver Metallic paintjob, while the top of the line M5 is now dressed with the new Frozen Marina Bay Blue Metallic. On the other hand, the 7-Series has been optimized with a wide choice of colours, along with Merion leather with special trims and high-end roof liner inside.

Moving up to the new i8 Roadster, the hot model is now available with new aerodynamic styling package, with main highlights comprising updated front splitter and rear spoiler. As for the I Performance models – ranging from the 225xe iPerformance to the i8 – these come equipped with the latest technologies onboard.

The new engine updates comprising both petrol and plug-in hybrid forms have been equipped with a particulate filter to comply the new Euro 6d-TEMP regulations.

The power of the engines have also been enhanced. For instance, the BMW X3 M40d is now producing no less than 320 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque, all squeezed from a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, enabling a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Also, in August, BMW will also introduce the X4 xDrive30d with a 3.0-liter diesel with 261 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque; paired to a high-performance eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive configuration, the model can jump to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.

The transmissions have also been modified. For instance, there is the new eight-speed automatic, available from August on models from the 1-Series (12oi, M140i) or the 3-, 4- and the 5-Series (520d Sedan, 520d Touring).

When you think of BMW, you think of performance, elegance and precision. German engineering, most would agree, does not have rivals often. Even so, there are situations where errors appear. For a respected car manufacturer such as BMW, the main concern is customer satisfaction, which means that sometimes huge efforts have to be made in order to fix any faults that the producer might have overseen. As it happens, BMW has decided to recall 11,700 vehicles in order to fix an issue with the engine management software.

While the fault might not be that noticeable at first, rest assured that it could be dangerous if left unfixed. Simply looking at the way BMW decided to handle things is proof of how dangerous an issue with the car’s engine management software can be. The wrongly installed software, as BMW discovered, was the main problem for a couple of 5 Series and 7 Series models. While the issue does not seem to be quite hard to fix, the sheer number of affected vehicles meant a lot of time had to be spent in order to fix the issue.

BMW’s fast response shows the determination of the Bavarian automaker when it comes to satisfying its customers. Reputation can be increased greatly in such situations, on account of a professional approach regarding problem solving. Customers will not always check for a manufacturer to make as little mistakes as possible. They will also look at how that certain manufacturer solves unpredictable issues that may appear along the way. This issue with BMW’s engine management software for some models is an example of such a critical moment, in which the manufacturer has to react quickly and with great precision.

BMW has proven once again that it values its customers beyond any other thing. Thanks to the Bavarian automaker’s constant care for those that buy its products, BMW might actually have gained reputation instead of losing it, reputation that will prove valuable over time. The 11,700 vehicles in question will be fixed by BMW without any charge. This move shouldn’t surprise anybody, as the fault for this issue lies with the automaker and not the owners. All that remains to be seen is how fast BMW will manage to repair the 11,700 cars and how satisfied each owner will be with the time taken to fix the issue.

German carmaker BMW is currently planning and preparing to launch a wide range of new models, especially with the upcoming 2017 Paris Motor Show, opening its gates starting with 25th of November.

While we have heard great news of the upcoming X4 and X4 M, there haven’t been any fresh details on the new X5. And even if we all thought the new model would be left aside, thanks to recent reports, we now have some details concerning the petrol engine lineup that the 2019 BMW X5 is supposed to comprise in the United States alone.

The model is set to arrive in the second quarter of 2019 and will stand on the company`s new and most advanced CLAR architecture, which comprises new and more lightweight materials, meaning increased performance, bigger space inside and lower fuel consumption. The X5 will also share plenty of mechanical characteristics with its bigger siblings, the X6 and the newly launched BMW X7.

Besides the shared CLAR architecture and technology suite, the BMW X5 SUV will stand out from the crows with a new petrol engine lineup, available in the sDrive40i, xDrive40i and xDrive50i variants.

Starting with the X5 40i, the entry-level variant will comprise a 3.0-liter straight six B58 engine, with 335 horsepower in the standard shape. The M Performance variant will add around 15 horsepower more. The rest of the lineup will be equipped with an N63 4.4-liter V8 mill, a completely new engine with 465 horsepower, which is way too impressive than today`s M550i model.

According to the same reports, BMW has also leaked out some of the engines that will equip the 2019 BMW X5 outside the US market, be it petrol burners or diesels. The entry-level xDrive30d for instance will come with a B57 engine with 265 horsepower, while the xDrive40d will churn out 320 horsepower. On the other hand, the top of the line M50d will feature a new B57S quad-turbo engine with 400 horsepower.

Even if BMW is very busy putting together the final pieces of at least ten models, which will be officially unveiled at the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (September 12), the German-based carmaker still finds time to secretly test out and plan future models.

Following the 2018 BMW M4 CS, announced back in May, the German firm is also working on the top of the line CS variant from M2, the model being scheduled for an official debut next year, in March.

The details are still kept hidden, however, thanks to a recent report issued by Spanish magazine Motor.es, the model is announced to be limited to a handful of 1,000 examples, making it quite expensive and tweaked with new visual elements and increased power.

Visually, the 2018 BMW M2 CS will look sportier with two new body colour – Sunset Orange and Silver Hockenheim – joining thus the rest of the standard ones found on the regular M2 – Sapphire Black, Alpine White, Long Beach Blue and Mineral Gray.

Thanks to recent spy photos, the new M2 CS is going to adopt updated front and rear ends, more aggressive front grille, bigger wheels and new exhaust system.

Speaking of power, the next CS is likely to use the 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, the same found on the new M – and not the M2`s single-turbo N55 unit, with power standing at 405 horses and 501 Nm of torque; the 100 km/h sprint is also reported at 4.2 seconds. As for transmission, the model might come with a standard six-speed manual and an optional DCT.

Mode details and full prices are expected to emerge in early 2018, just ahead the car`s presentation in March.

According to some rumors, the recently launched 7-Series 730i will make its way onto the Turkish market packed with an entry-level 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, the same one found on the MINI John Cooper Works.

Apart the MINI John Cooper Works, the 2.0-liter turbocharged mill has been also proved its efficiency on other BMW models, like the BMW 225 or the newly facelifted 330i version.

As with the new engines from BMW being more powerful and fuel-efficient, this one is also coming with impressive figures, meaning a good 258 horsepower and 298 lb-ft of torque.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a good 6.2 seconds, at a topping of an electronically-limited 155 mph. A high-performance ZF eight-speed automatic transmission sends the power to the front corners.

As aforementioned, in terms of fuel-efficiency, the engine stands pretty well with an average of just 40.55 mpg (5.8 L/100 km), while the CO2 emissions are set at 134 g/km. Prices for the entry-level variant will be known at a later date.

BMW is on a constant move with the development of its model lineup, the German carmaker announcing a lot of updates and improvements for some of its models, starting this spring.

Starting with the BMW 3-Series 325d Sedan and 325d Touring, both versions will gain the 2.0-liter diesel flat-four engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology, developing 224 horsepower. The Sedan comes with a 6.1 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, while the Touring adds 0.2 seconds for the same distance.

The BMW 4-Series 440i, the official replacement of the 340i, will receive the 3.0-liter flat-six engine, developing 326 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, hooked to a six-speed manual gearbox or the optional eight-speed automatic. The carmaker will also introduce the xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive, available at a higher price.

On the other hand, the BMW M4 GTS will add up some interesting body style features, like the M Carbon Compound wheels, along with CFRP or aluminum composites, which will make it seven kilos lighter.

The BMW 7-Series will keep the wheels spinning with the 740Li xDrive receiving a 3.0-liter turbocharged petrol burner, with 326 horsepower, enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. Other features refer to the Remote Control Parking, with self-parking in tight spaces or garages, without a driver behind the wheel.

The list continues with a new xDrive all-wheel version of the 2-Series Gran Tourer, Open Air Package for the 2-Series Convertible, 4-Series Convertible and BMW M4 Convertible.

Good news for BMW fans, as the future generation of BMW M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe and M4 Cabriolet will be offered with the Competition Package.

The news has also been confirmed in an interview by Frank van Meel, the M`s chief: “We will be offering a Competition Package for each of the three body variants as of spring 2016.”

In the present form, all three models pack a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline flat-six engine, with 431 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, being sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission. However, with the Competition Package, the models are rumored to deliver 30 horsepower more.

But the power increase is not the only good thing that the Competition Package will bring, as the cabin also benefit some extra goodies as well.

“In addition to extensive measures to further enhance driving dynamics and agility, this package also comprises various exclusive equipment details as well as an increase in engine output,” Van Meel also said.

The additional features refer to much lighter multi-spoke rims, or an updated rear diffuser with a custom exhaust system. So far, the details list is rather scarce, but we should be able to find out more in March, where the models are set to be displayed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

A recent report issued via BMW Blog states that the 2016 BMW 7-Series might come with two V12 engines in the following years.

If you take a look at the luxury sedan`s engine lineup, we see two petrol engines, like the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo flat-six, with 326 horsepower, equipping the 740i and 740 Li, as well as a higher 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 mill, with 450 horsepower, powering the 750i xDrive and 750 Li xDrive versions.

Apart these two powerful engines, the carmaker is also reported to fit the 2016 7-Series with a huge 6.6-liter V12 engine, taken from Rolls-Royce, with two power configurations: 600 horsepower in the future 760i and 760 Li and 600-plus-horsepower in the upcoming M760i, the latter one being regarded as the top of the line version from the entire 7-Series class.

The same report also mentions that both engines would come with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. As expected, we might also see an xDrive version, along with a rear-wheel drive one. We should expect full details about the engines somewhere next year, when the carmaker would make the official announcements on that matter.
