BMW`s strongest arm Alpina, has recently released details of its brand-new model, the B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99, which is no other than the hardcore variant of the M4. It is more powerful, heavily-modified at the exterior and with a unique interior that sets it apart.

We are dealing here with a limited-run edition of just 99 units built worldwide, with the coupe being manufactured in left-hand drive mode. In Germany, prices start from €74,705 for the Coupe and €80,756 for the Convertbile.

Visually, the Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 features two exterior paintjobs, like Grigio Medio grey and Fire Orange, which along with the new visual enhancements, increase its aggressive look. Speaking of which, the body style has now been fitted with gloss black trimmings for the front grilles and window surrounds.

There is also the new set of Ferric Grey 20-inch alloys finished in Alpina spoke design as standard. However, you can also get the optional Sapphire Black and Mineral White.

The details inside are also one-of-a-kind, the interior welcoming customers with Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, Alpina gauges in dark blue, sports seats and paddle shifters, leather on the edges of the floor mats, stainless steel production plate and a couple more.

As for more power and performance, Alpina has also introduced a set of new mechanical parts that indeed makes it far more advanced than the standard M4. There is the new and fine-tuned adaptive suspension, bespoke springs, stabilizer bars, bushings and connecting links, as well as body reinforcements which increase stiffness front and rear, respectively.

Under the hood, the Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 comes with an upgraded 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine, churning out an impressive 332 kW and 660 Nm of torque, and which allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.9 seconds, in the coupe form. On the other hand, the convertible is a tad slower, managing 3.4 seconds. The top speed stops at 306 /h.

It may not be the all-new 2018 BMW M5, but it is Alpina`s ultimate iteration in terms of exquisite looks and sheer performance under the hood – it is the 2018 D5 S, recently unveiled by BMW`s hardcore division in details and video below.

There are a lot of qualities that makes an Alpina stand-out from the crowd, and the new 2018 D5 S, in both the sedan and touring forms, has all it takes to perfectly replace the M5, not to mention that it comes cheaper and proves to be extremely rigid, high-performance in terms of driving capabilities and fit for all road conditions.

Visually, it still keeps Alpina`s design language, coming with sporty bumpers, bespoke front and rear spoilers, one-off tailpipes, and completing the scenery with the same unforgettable Alpina alloy wheels.

Other distinguishable elements refer to Alpina logos and stripes. The cabin complements the exterior with plenty of high-end materials, adding the latest high-tech gadgetries – full colour digital instrument panel in LED as standard.

In the engine department, the 2018 Alpina D5 S is quite a stud, demonstrating its raw power thanks to a 3.0-liter straight-six cylinder diesel engine with two-stage turbo charging and common rail high-pressure direct injection.

This means that the new D5 S, in the sedan form, is capable of churning out 388 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, which for a diesel is quite amazing. That also translates in a 4.4-second run from 0 to 100 km/h, at a top speed of 286 km/h.

Despite the impressive power and torque, the 2018 Alpina D5 sedan S is quite fuel-efficient, managing just 6.6l/100 km and 174 g/km CO2. On the other hand, the touring runs from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, at a top speed of 283 km/h, while the consumption stands at 6.9l/100 km.

It is available in both the Salon and the Touring variants and are equipped with the same eye-catching ALPINA body styling elements, which separates it from the rest of the BMW products. These make it more aggressive.

The BMW 3- and 4-Series` alternatives from Alpina strong arm – the all-new B3 and B4 S, already been previewed – have arrived at BMW`s stand at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, both models being highlighted in live photos from the event.

Besides the exquisite design of the new B3 abd B4 which are wearing the tuner`s high-end and exquisite S trim, both models have been also tweaked with the latest mechanics, like tuned-up suspension system, new and high-performance cooling system or remapped transmission software. This automatically led to approximately 7 percent boost in power and 10 percent boost in torque.

This means that both models are now standing at 434 horsepower and 487 Nm of torque, all squeezed from the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine, which is similar to the one underneath the M3 and M4.

As for the straight line sprint, this is achieved in 4.2 seconds, at a top speed of 190 mph. As for the prices involved, these refer to four body styles – the sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible.

The B4 S Coupe with the rear-wheel costs $79,215, while the all-wheel drive system is set at $82,300. On the other hand, the B4 S Convertible is available at $85,630. As for the B3 S, BMW`s Alpina has not revealed the pricing details, but we should be able to find out more details in the upcoming period.

You can find out more about Alpina`s new B3 & B4 S in the media gallery below released at the tuner`s own stand in Geneva!

Until BMW unveils the new BMW M5 Touring at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, we are glad to see its alternative in the shape of the 2018 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo wagon, recently released at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, along with the sedan sibling. The models are also highlighted in a short video presentation.

Visually, the new 2018 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo wagon features the same Alpina Blue and Alpina Green metallic paintjobs like the sedan, adding as well an extremely aggressive aero package, highlighted by the 20-inch alloy wheels with blue brake calipers.

Other distinctive body style features also refer to the newly-added air inlet on the front apron with the “Alpina” lettering in various colours.

Inside, the cabin welcomes you with luxurious and high-end materials like Nappa leather upholstery, Alpina steering wheel with blue/green stitching, illuminated door sills, optional wood trims, piano lacquer finish surrounding some parts of the cabin and so on.

Under the hood, the 2018 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo packs the same 4.4-liter biturbo V8 engine with impressive 608 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, being sent to all wheels vial an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.

This allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, which is just a little bit slower than the sedan`s 3.5 seconds. The top speed is set at 330 km/h.

Once arriving on the German market first, the sedan will kick off from 94,118 euros, while the wagon will be set at 96,891 euros. In case you want more goodies than the standard offerings, you could also add the 2,773-euro limited-slip differential, high-performance brakes for an extra 1,495 euros, or the head-up display available at 1,000 euros.

In case you were wondering if Alpina, BMW`s strongest arm, would come out with the wagon variant of the future 2017 B5 Bi-Turbo, then the answer is yes.

Following some recent teasers with the sedan variant, Alpina Automobiles has recently released a video teaser with the upcoming 2017 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo, which is set to arrive at the upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

As we can depict from the video, we are looking here at rather the same body style as the sedan, except for the rear end which is now coming in the shape of a wagon style. The same features are also seen on the model.

The model will also stand on BMW`s new and high-performance CLAR platform, the same underpinning the new G30 5-Series, meaning more lightweight materials which sheds-off around 100 kg, improving the car`s driving characteristics and allowing for much performance engines.

In terms of space inside, the wagon will come with a split tailgate and 510 liters with the seats folded up. Technologically, we expect the same gadgetries as in the Bi-Turbo sedan and 5-Series range, including semi-autonomous technology. It will however come with distinguished features signed by Alpina and will differentiate it from BMW`s G30 5-Series.

As far as the engine goes, the new 2017 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo will come with the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, also found on the BMW 550i, but with an increased power of around 441 kW.

We will be able to find full details with the new 2017 Alpina B5- Bi-Turbo Wagon at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show! Meanwhile, take a closer look at the teaser video with the model below!

The upcoming 2018 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo is popping-up into the spotlights again in its final round of tests in the snow, just before officially heading to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. This would be Alpina`s response to the upcoming M5 from BMW.

As expected, and just like the future M5, the new B5 Bi-Turbo will take its borrowings from the same G30 5-Series, like sharing the CLAR platform, coming however with some hardcore body components and some extra horses under the hood.

The video below might also be Alpina`s marketing plan of campaigning its gorgeous B5- Bi-Turbo ahead the event, the model flexing its muscles in the snow and looking extremely aggressive and nervous. And you could spot its tuned up design language from miles away.

Based on the same CLAR platform, the new model from Alpina will be also more lightweight than its predecessor, however, according to recent rumors, it won`t come with more power, which is around 600 horsepower, all squeezed from a 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine.

It remains to be seen if Alpina will make it a duet with the M5 in Geneva, as it would be really challenging to see both models in action.

However, in case it won`t be a real hit at the most important auto show of the year, Alpina has another ace down its sleeve, as it is also preparing the long-rumored B5 Touring, which will be offered as an alternative to the likes from Audi RS6 Avant or Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate. This one will surely be unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Meanwhile, we are waiting for both the M5 and the B5 Bi-Turbo showing off in Geneva! Enjoy the latest spy video with Alpina`s hardcore 5-Series!

In the engine department, the 1990 Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo is taking its power from a 3.5-liter inline-six engine, hooked to a five-speed manual transmission. This makes it extremely powerful, especially since the car`s turbos were replaced in 2009, meaning 360 horsepower, and allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds.

In case you love vintage and iconic BMW models, especially if they involve customized models from Alpina division, then you should know that the model is available for sale in Fremont, California. You should be able to find out the price tag if you decide to buy the model.
